Prologue (Amethyst)

I never killed the girl.

I know I didn't kill her.

I couldn't and I wouldn't dare.

Even so, it was an accident. I only meant to help her and that is all I ever wanted to do. Though my actions speak otherwise, I know I didn't kill that girl. It's unfortunate that no one believes me. But how could I blame them?

Considering the amount of human blood that I have spilled, why wouldn’t such a thought cross their minds?

Now it doesn’t matter anymore. None of it matters. Whether or not I did it, I ruined it. I ruined everything. The last chance I ever had, the little trust that I was endeared with is now gone. The only thing left for me to do, the only way out for me now,

was to run.
